Osiyan Sand Dunes, Jodhpur

Osiyan, an ancient town is located in Jodhpur District of Rajasthan. India’s famous thar desert is located near Osiyan. Osiyan is known for its ancient temples. One of the most famous temple of Osiyan is “Sachchiyay Mataji Temple”. Osiyan is also known for its Sand Dunes.

How to reach:-

Osiyan situated at a distance of 70km from Jodhpur Railway Station. Local buses are available from Jodhpur City at reasonable price. U can also hire private taxi from Jodhpur Railway Station.

Best time to visit:-

Winter season (October to March) is the best time to visit Osiyan.

Desert Safari:-

U can experience Desert Safari at Osiyan Sand Dunes which is around 3Km from Sachchiyay Mataji Temple, Osiyan. Camel ride & Desert Jeep safari are also available at Osiyan Sand Dunes at reasonable price.

Hi @NikhilBhati thanks for sharing such beautiful pictures of and info regarding jodhpur rajasthan.

I would like to share one thing with you that my father is an EX- BSF person and in BSF there is a camel contingent which is first of its kind in the whole world. It’s always pleasure to see camels in such beautiful forms direct from Rajasthan pushkar mela.
