There is an orienteering event in Ticknock next Sunday, The event is very close to Dublin, about 10 minutes drive from junction 13 on the M50. Even though it is close to Dublin, the event area is forest and open mountain. Events here in the past have been very enjoyable and challenging. If you have never done an orienteering event before I strongly recommend you give this a go. Don’t be put off if you cannot complete the course. There is a saying that you have to complete 7 orienteering events before you can become competitive!!
