It has been difficult times for businesses, but also for me.
My whole life is built around supporting local businesses—from going to a bar, to trying new food at a restaurant to checking out new coffee places.
That life abruptly came to a stop in March, during lockdown. But after a couple of weeks, I figured: why not getting those businesses to home? This has a couple of major benefits.
Obviously, you support local businesses, who are most probably struggling really hard to stay alive now.
It is a nice variation on your daily cooking schedule to just order and enjoy your food.
You can just continue to discover new places, which you can perhaps try out physically in some time.
Very importantly, you can keep on contributing and writing reviews!
During the 3 month lockdown, I ordered food delivery for about 20 times, each time from a new place. (only 2 of them I actually want to visit physically soon )
3 weeks ago, our lockdown ended and bars and restaurants are open again. But since Covid-19 is just lurking around the corner, I would rather be safe than sorry. I continue my habit to order food delivery online, to still being able to discover new place and feel safe in the same time.

It was the COVID-19 lockdown period that showed us that small businesses are the backbone of a thriving society and how important it is to support them, also in the post-COVID world.

What is a business without its customer? Most probably a building that is for rent.
Good to see that you are supporting them too, let’s try to have as many survivors as possbile post Covid-19. There will already be enough victims unfortunately.

Many small businesses have really suffered a lot during lockdown, it is very much important that the surrounding communities support them with as little as they can, it will really help to sustain them. It’s so sad to see so many businesses closes it’s doors. We not only looking at SA owned businesses even foreign owned businesses needs help as well they making a significant impact to our economy as well.
So I know we can’t cook 7 days a week it’s tiring with those mommy I’m hungry or daddy I’m hungry let’s support small businesses.
