Opole is a city located in southern Poland on the River Odra. It has a population of approximately 130,000 and is the capital of Opole region. Opole is one of the oldest towns in Poland. It is sometimes referred to as “Polish Venice”, because of its picturesque Old Town and several canals and bridges that connect different parts of the city. Opole hosts the annual National Festival of Polish Song. The city is also known for its Churches and Zoo.
