Open your heart & mind. Life is about Art. #BerlinStreetArtNights

What does the local guides program mean to me? Let me start unconventionally.

When I think of my city Berlin, I think of food, history, but above all: creativity and art. Or rather street art. I think in no other European city can you be freer than here. Just be yourself. And the street art scene is an expression of that. You can really just stroll through the streets on a warm summer evening and discover all the wonderful places. Some exude the charm of history and some are just mysterious. Who did this here? What was the intention? Which political message is there, possibly behind it. Open your mind. For the city, which for decades was the symbol for borders and walls, there are absolutely no borders anymore. And best of all, you feel it in a spiritual way in the simple life outside on the street. How wonderful. There is no hustle and bustle in these places. So what I want to give you on the way is not to tell you how it is on 20 pages, but to give you the feeling that one day will make you come here. You will not regret it. Life is not easy, but sometimes it is easy to stand in front of a wall and indulge in your thoughts.

I try to convey these impressions through photography. And I only do this at night, because at night these places get a special atmosphere. I love being out at night in this silent infinity of thoughts and the past decades of desires and hopes in these places. You become humble, you become brave. You will find inner peace with yourself. As a local guide I can encourage you to get involved. What do you have to lose?

For me this is the true nature and character of local guides. We are simple people. And we write for ordinary people. Local Guides is a place where everyone is equal and where people and their opinions matter more than their origin, social position, skin color or religion. I’m happy to be part of this community. Without knowing the other people and still being able to help them with my efforts, it feels good. And it connects us. That is why I try to reflect everyday life with my contributions. an everyday life in which everyone can find themselves. At the same time, I try to find the balance between urban life and the timelessness of art in a hectic and globalized world. can I do that? decide for yourself. ?
