One of the best ways to get to know a place is with local people. When I travel in my country, Israel, I mainly visit friends or family or travel with them. And they know the place.
I have a very good friend in Haifa and when I come to visit him he takes me to all the small and cool places he likes.
For me it’s the small window to the big city. He knows me and knows exactly what I like. Sometimes I think that if I went to Haifa without my good friend, I would not know where to go and where I could get to know the real people of the city.
With Google Maps I am the best friend of many people who come to Israel. I’m happy to share the places I love with them - and open the small window to my house. And when I meet a good friend from another city, I also share the little window he shares with me and thus spread love.
