sweet, salty and hot pickel and candy. such a delicious taste. You can found it only in Nepal. Love this taste. When you visit here must try this. This is called “Pau” in Nepali language.
Nepalese food is something I’ve never had the chance to try @Gypsyrider , but I would love to some day!
Are these meant as desserts or street food snacks or something completely different?
I’m letting you know that I have relabelled your post to Food & Drink as it fits better there focusing on the treats in your photo.
Hi @MortenSI
These are street food. It’s a sour, sweet and salty taste. It is kind of pickle and candy.
I can’t even imagine what this would taste like @Gypsyrider , but I’m ready to try it!
I see a lot of different ingredients in your photo. What are these treats typically made of?
There are lots of ingredients in it like red chilly, sugar, salt. This ingredients mixed with "gooseberry, lapsy(only found in nepal it’s very sour in taste). Its also available in dry form like candy.
I will simply need to go to Nepal and have a taste myself @Gypsyrider , they sounds way to interesting!
I’ve been wanting to go for many years anyway so this would just be another yet another point of on my list of things to try.
nepali pickles made of one of the most hot chilly in the world. You can’t even eat a little slices of it. It’s hot.![]()
Hi @Gypsyrider and thank you for sharing your photo with us. Can you please tell us a bit more about the photo you have uploaded? Is it from an open market? Do you like spicy food?
Please note that, I merged this post with your previous one, as they are very similar.
