A year ago, my journey as a Google Local Guide gave me an opportunity I’ll always remember- attending Google Local Guides Connect Live 2025 in Bengaluru.
Being invited to Connect Live and stepping inside Google’s Ananta and Carina offices was a special milestone in my Local Guides journey.
What started simply as contributing photos, reviews, information, and experiences on Google Maps eventually became an opportunity to meet an incredible community in person. One of my proudest moments was seeing my Local Guides profile and contribution featured on the big screen during the event. Seeing “Rushikesh_joshi – Level 9” up there was a small moment, but one that meant a lot to me

Over those two days, I had the opportunity to interact with Googlers, meet passionate Local Guides, exchange ideas and experiences, learn more about Google Maps, celebrate different cultures, and turn online connections into real friendships.
Every picture in this collage brings back a different memory, the sessions, conversations, laughter, community moments, and excitement of simply being there.
Looking back after a year, Connect Live reminds me that every contribution can become part of a much bigger journey.
Grateful to the Google Maps & Local Guides team, everyone who worked behind the scenes to make Connect Live possible, and all the fellow Local Guides who made those two days unforgettable.
