One place, one story. Red Square, Moscow.

Red Square. Moscow

Today I looked at my old photos on Google disk , my attention was attracted by a photograph on Red Square. I remembered that day and one story.

I’ve met an old man. He was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. The man carefully examined all the people around, as if he was looking for someone. I came closer and asked: “Have you lost someone?”
The veteran smiled, and then sadly replied: “Yes, daughter, I lost. Before I was taken to the front, I met a girl. I fell in love with her at first sight, but the young and stupid I did not know anything about her, except that her name was Olya. I went through the war, was next to the death, but I survived. Every day of my life I thought about Olya and dreamed of seeing her at least once in my life. While I am alive, I don’t lose hope. Each time I come to the heart of Moscow city I’m looking for Olya. I believe that one day we will meet and be together. "

Thanks for your first post @Lily_J . I was at Red Square in October 2017 and enjoyed the visit.

Because you are new, do you want to introduce yourself? See this post about how.

Thank you, @Haruki !

I like to speak with Veterans. They had lots stories to tell. Their stories are very heartwarming. Sometimes you can even cry.
