I am wondering that, till 10 days ago also I don’t have idea about “Street View” app. After finding Street View Photographer Badge in fellow Local Guides Profiles I started knowing about this and downloaded the Street View app from Google Play Store and started my contribution.
@VijayaNagesh Thank you for the info, i am sure it will help new local guides. I found this app around 2-3 months ago and i love to capture 360 pictures because with 360 view we can easily show a place to a large number of people. Good Luck
It’s a beautiful experience to start knowing 360 photos for the first time. The Street View app is really useful in order to start joining the world of 360 photos. Anyway in some situations it may be a little uncomfortable to use it, for example if you are sitting at a bar or restaurant: you should get up and go round with your phone in the middle of the dining room, maybe in a crowded place, with waiters coming every second and with people looking at what you are doing, not the maximum of the life.
But for hotels or open places Street View app is still great. If you want to go further inside the world of 360 photos, I would suggest you to get a 360 camera, like the very good Ricoh Theta V. If you take many photos, you can even make a virtual tour inside a place!
@VijayaNagesh Unfortunately I have deleted those 360 photos that don’t look right. That time I tried 3-4 photos with various locations. So I gave up and uninstalled the app.
I just re-installed the app and tried it again, it works well this time. I will keep trying it and if I find the same problem again, I’ll show you the problematic photos.
