I am Pavan Kumar, a Level 7 Google Local Guide from New Delhi, India.
When I am contributing to Google Maps I always intend to help other Google Maps Users and provide them with accurate information.
My main motive is to help google maps user through the local guide program as Google Maps helps me every time.
This is my contribution timeline till now and I intend to keep moving forward:
Beginning of my journey:
I am using Google Maps since I laid my hands on a smartphone. I always pin places and check my timeline to keep track of my activity. Whenever I go outside I always check my ETA and the best way to reach my destination. But I started my Google Local Guide journey a year ago when i was travelling to the Northeastern part of India, a less explored place of my country. I was looking for a hotel to spend the night. After some time I found a hotel but that hotel didn’t have any review on Maps. I felt very helpless that time and i didn’t like it. So I booked that hotel to make sure that the next person who will check-in at the hotel will not feel what i felt.
On my review of the hotel I got good response and hence, my journey started. Now, whenever I go I review and rate places with proper information to help others like google has been doing for decades.
Using Google Maps and Contribution -
I use Google Maps for daily purposes and for work too. I have several lists and hundreds of places pinned on my Google Maps. I also use other services like Timeline and Location Sharing.
I’m very passionate about contributing as a Local Guide and helping others through from Google Maps. I love to explore, eat and travel so Google Maps and Google Local Guide Program is the best companion for me.
Whenever I got views on my contributions I feel good that I helped someone somewhere and I expect the same from the other Local Guides.
