While now we have a huge photos storage in Google Photos, but the most memorable storage is our mind. If you smell certain odor, then your mind directly connect it to the specific memory. Or you are in a situation that reminds you of similar situation. Have you ever experience it?
That is also happen with me with Connect Live 2019 memories. No need to write here how blessed I was with that journey and so on and so on, but when November begin, my mind turn on to that event. November is like a trigger for reminding me of Connect Live 2019.
The whole session as if going to live the slogan of Connect Live 2019: We Rise by Lifting Others. It is very inspirational because only with the strong to build a healthy community we can survive in any circumstances. And Connect Live 2019 prove it!
The question in my mind is what should I do after this nice event? I want to make this event be a everlasting torch in my activity as a Local Guide. That is why to participate in rising others, I made several decisions as local guides, in the beginning of pandemic last March, as follows:
Change my review, from place to product, because we can go nowhere. By doing this people still got insight which restaurant that promote hygiene protocol yet in a reasonable price.
Make a handy list for places that open 24 hours such as Automatic Teller Machine.
Make a bucket list for tourism destination, to prepare if pandemic is over and people can travel again. My hometown is depend on tourism.
Educate the small business owner how to maximize their google maps site. That is why I always read about Google My Business, for being update about that.
Promote local business by choosing and reviewing them and keep educating them how to make their place suitable for visitors, such as provide a clean toilet, a wash hand sink in front of their palce, always using masker in serving, etc…etc…
I am very glad that report from Google Maps helps me to see that I am on the right track. Last March 2020 my photos has been seen by 4,500,000 times. Well, for me it is a clue that in pandemic people still need a genuine information about food. That time we really cannot go anywhere, we just rely on online deliverer. From this data I keep my eagerness to review up till now, at least once in a week.
Let our mind throw back to November 2019 when we met but let us keep guiding people, let us keep
It does indeed last forever @Marianis we become a family at that event. I always look forward to seeing the people I met at Connect Live here on this platform and on socials and sometimes even in person
Time flies so fast. It’s been a year since Connect Live 2019 and our meeting in the real life! Thanks to Google Photos that gives us a glimpse of the memories from last year photos.
After this amazing event, there are lots of things that change me into a better person with more knowledge and perspective I guess
During this pandemic, I really support small and local business, especially Food & Beverage businesses. This industry gets a very big impact because of the pandemic. Last Sunday I went to a famous shopping center in Jakarta, but you know what, I saw that some of the food stalls that I used to visit are not available anymore. This is so sad
The easiest things that we could do to support small and local business besides buying their food are updating their information on Google Maps and writing a nice yet honest review.
Hi @Cecilita , yes, we are now in a disruption era because of this pandemic as well as tthe technology. May we all can overcome every challenges and have a brave heart to enter 2021
Hallo @Nyainurjanah , hopefully everything is okay in your place. Sometime I saw your activity in WA status, I am glad that you are still like I met last year. Keep in touch, Nyai…
Hi Paul…we have same dream that pandemic will be gone forever. Today I got message from Salisbury that they were locked down once more? Hopefully the situation will be geting better and better. Stay healthy and stay happy, @PaulPavlinovich
Our state is now mostly out of lockdown @Marianis and we hope to stay that way. This issue won’t likely be over until an effective vaccine has reached most of the world.
