I thought Last two posts which went viral How to “Greet” and tell “Thankyou” in the native language. I thought this is more appropriate as a Local Guide Group. We can come up with a fact that is not so popular and worth sharing which is also verified!
There are so many legends and places to mention in this category. But this time my head is triggered with the name Laxmi Prasad Devkota.
He is very famous within the territory of Nepal. Being popular why I am mentioning him here? Below is the reason.
It’s been said that if Laxmi Prasad Devkota was born in England or any other globally popular country then he would be famous as an another Shakespeare.
He is simply an amazing polyglot.
To make it interesting for readers I want to mention a real fact of him here:
Once Devkota was in abroad for meeting. He was not wearing a tie so the gatekeeper didn’t allow him to enter in the meeting room. After multiple requests he agreed to wear a tie. Later all the participants were given a food to eat. Devkota poured all the food items inside a tie. Later somebody asked him that why he was doing that. Devkota replied, “It’s not me who is important here but it’s a tie due to which I am here. So I am feeding a tie.”
While being treated for his supposed ‘insanity’ in Ranchi, Dr. Owen Berkeley-Hill said, ‘It is a geographical mistake a that talent such as Devkota is born in Nepal. He is not mad, but those of you who are trying to label him insane are mad.’
Many called him a lunatic when he wrote, “What aim to take, but to fly and touch the moon?” Coincidentally, he died in the same day the first aircraft to land on the moon, the Soviet Luna-9, reached the moon.
Wow, @BishowvijayaP . That’s so interesting and well said, Laxmi Prasad Devkota is definitely a Shakespeare from Nepal and Thanks, I have learned something which I never knew before.
Hope this chain continues and several others contribute more interesting hidden info from their locality.
I would like to show what I had documented here with my friend @OSAMA . It’s because the fact is simply amazing as @KimLong mentioned and he likes such facts.
