Wow @Erik_van_den_Ham that’s a mind blowing post about photography. Thanks for sharing. Am getting more and more aware of how unprofessional my photography skills are now
Hi @SholaIB thank you so much for the huge compliment here. This is not even so much skill in photography but it’s knowing what limitations or possibilities a certain lens has. This fisheye lens has a natural distortion as it captures everything that is in front of the camera so 180 degrees all around. Just two pictures will make a perfect circle (ball) that could form a 360 picture. As it shows 180 degrees there is a lot of distortion, which if a picture is taken the right way can be eliminated for the greater part. But that is not so much fun. Here I left them as taken so giving a distorted view of the world (well Amsterdam). I thought it would fit Amsterdam as it is quite a crazy city by itself. For me coming from a small town and being a smalltown boy the city and the city life seems pretty crazy. More craziness will follow soon .
Well for an amateur like .myself and maybe other Lgs who are also like me. I haven’t even seen or would not be able to identify a fisheye lens if I saw one .
The closest I have gone to a camera is my mobile camera here and that’s why I said it will be nice to hook up a plan to learn more on photography, lenses an,cameras etc. I have attended some virtual meetups on photography alright, yet there is still so much to learn on these.
As for my 360° I took it’s a disaster so I need to get started on some little skills on photos.
Truly stunning captures @Erik_van_den_Ham I loved the way you have captured Amsterdam in fisheye Also, decoded your cryptic message Keep making such posts
Hi @MayuriKubal the message wasn’t all that hard to get I guess . If only Mr. President would listen… well that will never happen. I rather stay away from politics as they are often ‘dirty’ games, except for the good few around.
Glad you like my creative view on Amsterdam.
Hello @PaulPavlinovich thanks for the link to the tutorial video about lenses. We’ll see to it. I attended one of your meetup on photography sometime ago I think. I guess am needing more meetups if I can fill them in my schedule @Erik_van_den_Ham .
Indeed we do @MayuriKubal everybody’s voice needs to be heard. But we are all individuals with our own ideas, thoughts, religions and mindset. It’s not hard to fight each other but it’s an art to connect with each other, no matter these differences are. The basis should be respect and be open to other ideas that are outside your safe bubble and comfort zone.
Another great post @Erik_van_den_Ham , full of interesting photos (especially the one in the Adam shop ;-)). I do need to learn more, lots more in fact, about how to take better photos. I’m just a point and click guy that totally relies on the one lens and auto setting on my camera. Each time I see posts and photos like yours I realize more and more how little I know about photography while at the same time I learn a little more about politics ;-).
