One-day trip to a French village, Southwest region

Lagruere, this small town in the Aquitaine region of France, visited by the river Garonne, this village of less than

500 habitants is a haven of peace.

FOR finish my family visit in the corner, I have decided to visit it in one day before take back my train. Already, like you can see from the photos, reeds of greenery are an invitation to nature.we can walk there so ecological cycling, walking, boating, family, friends or lovers.

By reaching the cross of the Pech de berre in the near by town, you can admire the city with a panoramic view overlooking the river Lot et Garonne. As soon as the weather is nice, the boats go along the canal du midi and every Friday, a concert is organized in the square. Here, after walking for long to admire the views, I found the restaurant at the waterfront, very nice with very generous quantities on the plates.

Finally, after eating I had to run to not miss my train .Oh it was very brief but well. Sure, I will return.

I let you admire the few photos taken with my phone

See you soon  for new stories

Hello @Gladspeak , nice to take us on a small trip to this french village for a day and taking wonderful pictures on your smart phone.

Indeed very pretty place. I did visit France long long back in 1997 , to a place called Rennes and Combourg near Paris…it was a great country side

Good to get connected.

@Gladspeak - your post is wonderful! Have you created a Google Maps List of all things you did in this village? Or written Local Guides reviews, including the name of the restaurant that served that delicious looking salmon for Google Maps?

It would be great to see these links in your post here so that fellow Local Guides who may want to visit Lagruère can save your list for future reference.

Cheers,

Karen

Thank you my dear, the best to you too.

Thanks to you my dear Karen,

No, I have not put this village in the Google maps yet. I intend to do it tonight. I did not know that I could make a list for a village only. But in my idea, I’m doing some tours of villages and after I’ll make a list for the major villages on Google maps. The only problem that I have it that my lists published so far do not show themselves yet they are public. In any case, thank you again for your advice.

Cheers

Thanks to you, I’m not new to connect live but I had not yet gotten used to answering messages personally. I was just doing posts. Now I learned and understood.

Cheers

The photos are really nice and some of them look pretty delicious. Thank you @Gladspeak for sharing some highlights from your day trip in France.
