Once my passion for LocalGidy helped me change the dessert in the cafe.

2 years ago I was confronted with the fact that not always routes on maps are accurate and sometimes you can spend hours wandering around the right place, without having any landmarks.

A few months ago, my brother told me about the program LocalGuides on Google Maps. And I realized that this is what is needed!
Now I can post high-quality photos and reliable information about places and routes, so that no one else has to wander, as it was with me.
I am sure that thanks to reliable and truthful reviews about cafes, shops, attractions, the time of their opening and closing, etc., you can save time and not go to bad or boring places.

I am very happy to help people.
But once I helped myself.
In mid-March this year, I met in a cafe with a friend. There I ordered dessert Pineapples with cloves and anise. They brought me a large dish with beautifully decorated cinnamon, mint and cloves dessert. It was delicious. I took a photo and shared a review with me in my impressions on Google Maps. The photo shows that the pineapple pieces are quite large.

A week later I came to the same cafe, to meet with another friend, told her about the favorite dish and, of course, ordered it again.
When they brought me my order, I was extremely surprised.
On a large plate lay three tiny, thin slices of pineapple half the size of last time. In one of the pieces stuck up one little thing carnation. And nothing more. At the same cost as a week ago.
Due to the fact that I now always have with me my contributions of Google Maps, I was able to quickly find the last photo of the dessert and showed it to the administrator. And she took it to the chef, along with the failed dish for comparison.
And for me they remade the dessert. The situation was corrected and I did not have to feel embarrassed for the wrong recommendation.

In addition, I realized that any cafe visitor can show a real photo of the dish and have the right to expect that his order will look the same.

After this incident, I began to respect the program of Local Guides even more and to treat the information I was posting even more responsibly.
