#СommunityPhotoChallenge:Manor "Dubrovitsy"

Hello dear local guides,

Here is a photo that I would like to share as a part of challenge, suggested by @AdrianLunsong .

Caption:On this photo you can see Church Of The Significance Of The Most Holy Theotokos.

What is the photo about:

This October I had an opportunity to visit one of the best churches in Russia.

An hour’s drive from Moscow is one of the most beautiful and unique churches in Russia. Church Of The Significance Of The Most Holy Theotokos. A Church with an unusually beautiful Baroque style, which is not typical for churches. The most interesting architectural element is the gоld-plated crown, which includes the temple., instead of the domed tent as we are used to seeing in Russian churches.

This Church is a monument of architecture17-18 centuries. The Church was recreated in 1690-1699.It was built on the initiative of Boris Golitsyn, tutor of Tsar Peter 1. the Church is made of white stone, this stone is found everywhere in the Podolsk district., it is easy and durable in construction. The temple is decorated on all sides with magnificent carvings, and the carvings are mostly fruit motifs. The height of the temple dome is 42.3 m.The entire Church is completely decorated with white stone sculpture, which is unusual for those times of construction. When in 1812 Dubrovitsy was captured by the troops of Napoleon, the Temple was not touched, its unusual architecture made a huge impression.

What does this place mean to me? Here you want to come and admire the unusual and beautiful architecture, and secondly, the temple is active and services are held. The place is very beautiful-worthy of admiration, there are several centuries-old oaks and Linden trees along the banks of the rivers. The temple itself is located on a Peninsula-the confluence of the Desna and Pakhra rivers. The temple is always beautiful and attracts attention in any weather, mesmerizing. The place I would say is mysterious, extraordinary, and at the same time calm and peaceful, remembering the events of many centuries. The church itself is very refined, both inside and out. The territory is home to the largest library of literature on animal husbandry and the Museum of Marina Tsvetaeva, a poet.

Amazing church and beautiful photos dear Helga!
At first glance this church almost looks like a crown to put on your head!
I took a look at your shared album and the interior is gorgeous, a blue background like the sky and white statues a very special and effective combination!

Thanks for sharing with us,

Saludos Farid.

Thank you for comment @FaridTDF

You are right, the architectors were from Russia and Europe also.

It was built under influence German classic Barocco style.
