In the heart of Kerala, a remote town witnesses the emergence of an awe-inspiring tribute to Lord Shiva. Omkaranathan, a majestic 15-feet-tall crown and torso statue of the deity, nestled in Perumkulam, the revered book village of Kerala, also known as Pustakagramam.

Step into breathtaking sculpture garden, where art and nature harmonize in perfect balance. Inspired by the perennial grandeur of Lord Shiva, this magnificent structure boasts:

  • A naturally landscaped flowing water stream, symbolizing the holy Ganga flowing from Shiva’s head
  • Over a thousand Om Karam inscriptions on its hair locks, scripted by devotees of all ages
  • Enhanced audio systems electrifying the ambiance with OM chanting, perfect for meditation
  • A unique design featuring three distinct expressions of Lord Shiva, visible from three different sides, showcasing the deity’s multifaceted persona

Location and Significance

Installed near the footprints of Kozhikottappan, who is believed to have appeared before Velu Thampi, this statue depicts the supreme yogic state of the deity, with half-opened eyes. Dedicated to the public on April 15th, 2023, at Dalawa Road, Perumkulam Kozhikode Kaavu Kshetram premises, Satva Scapes aims to establish Perumkulam as an international tourist attraction spot.

Located just 24kms away from the famous Jatayu Earth’s Center Nature Park (world’s largest bird sculpture), Chadayamangalam, this destination is easily accessible.
