I present to you, the Museu Olimpico here from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The space, which has interactive environments, seeks to spread the history of the Olympics and the city. Among the highlights of the new museum, there is an area where visitors can fly over the city and see Olympic installations and attractions, such as the Sugar Loaf, using augmented reality glasses. The full tour consists of five sections that offer educational, cultural and leisure activities with playful and interactive approaches. In the same space works the Knowledge Ship, an initiative that already works in eight other districts of the city, with the proposal to develop and train citizens with the use of new technologies.
Thank you for sharing this great post with us. Olympics are always a great occasion for the hosting city, but in many cases all the infrastructures and the facilities built for this great event are not used properly at the end of the competitions. I am really glad to see that this museum is instead used properly and I think is a great example on how to get people close to sport philosophy.
Thank you very much for introducing the Olympic and Paralympic City Museum to us! I just wanted to let you know that I have removed the Portugese (Brazilian) language label of your post as it’s written in English. These types of labels are used so that posts in different languages can be found more easily by Local Guides who are speakers of these languages. You can learn more about language tags in the article: How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
