OLOOLUA NATURE TRAIL (KENYA LOCAL GUIDES WALK)

My goal for 2020 was to reconnect with nature. This started by taking part in planting trees at the Kangeita Rehabilitation forest reservation at the foot of Mount Kenya to taking part in this Nature trail that had been organized by one of our able local guide, Kofi on 26th January 2020.

My highlight was taking this long exposure image of the waterfall.

Hi @MeshEventsguru ,

Sounds great that you want to reconnect with nature! With the daily tasks, we forget to see the beauty that surrounds us. Why don’t you tell us about your experience that day. Did you change the settings of your camera a few times before you took the perfect shot? Did you use a tripod?

Great, I love this nature trail, so relaxing and peaceful. Did you guys go to the caves? I found them to be a bit scary the last time I was there.

Hi @MoniDi

Thank you for reading through and giving your suggestions.

My experience that day was great, this was my first trail after rainfall and thanks to my shoe choice, I did not slide and fall.

As for my camera settings, I kept on adjusting the settings since I always shoot manual, I come from a photography background. I did not bring a tripod to this trail, all shots are handheld

Hi @InnocensiaO

yes, we went to the caves and even took pictures in there. At first, we were scared by the bats and the dampness

but after we overcame that, we were in for a treat

Nice to hear. I often use the normal settings for my Canon Powershot SX530HS. I dont know any other way…

Hello fellow guides from Ngong and environs. I have proposed a meetup on December 12, Mashujaa day in Kiserian to connect, share and celebrate our natural diversity. Food, music, art…good company. Will share more details closer to the day.
