Okra / Bhindi "as called in India and Nepal 🇳🇵"

It’s definitely my favourite among many of my favourites.

Ingredients required:

  • Okra / Bhindi
  • Potatoes
  • Any cooking Oil
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Cumin seeds

Cooking procedure:

Chop Okra / Potatoes as per your requirement there is no fixed measurement for this.

Heat oil in Pan

Add chopped Okra fry it for 5minutes in low flame “always cover while you cook”

After 5 minutes use spatula to move Okra around"

Leave it covered again for another 3 minutes in low flame

After this add chopped Potatoes, Salt, Cumin Seeds if you want can add Peprika as well “as per your taste”

Now cook it till potatoes and Okra gets tender and is well cooked “I always prefer cooking in low flame and would suggest the same”

Enjoy with Tortilla / Bread / Roti

This dish looks absolutely delicious and the sounds pretty easy to make. I’m definitely going to try to prepare it, hopefully I will succeed. Thank you so much @santoshontheway for sharing the recipe with us! I just have one question, do you pour water in the pan after you’ve added the potatoes?

I don’t think he must have put water as it would become very sticky! Usually, okra is fried without water (use more oil though).

Yes, You are right Sarah.

I didn’t use water.!

@KlaudiyaG No I didn’t use water. And I always prefer cooking in low flame. Use Olive Oil.

@KlaudiyaG I didn’t use water. I prefer cooking in low flame “that takes time”. Use Olive oil.

I know right, it may take more time, but dishes that are cooked slowly are more delicious. Thank you so much for your reply and for your tip, @santoshontheway !
