Off to Seattle for two months

Hello all guides,

I hope you are doing well. I miss being here, reading all posts and communicating with beloved fellow guides.

It has been month since my last post. There are so much going on in my private life and work and I just couldn’t find time to come here. I haven’t updated Google Map too. It looks like I disappeared after being introduced as Connect Moderator in May. I had so much on the plate in May: my birthday, my wedding reception, being the CM, Zodiac ceremony for my dear uncle and his wife who turned 84 of Tiger years at the same time and several trips in Seattle for both my parents and my elder brother. Wah… that seems a lot, right? After I returned from US, I travelled for fieldwork right on the first day!

In this post, I intended for detailed information about travel in Seattle for two weeks but ended up not writing much for now as I have commitment at work for meetings everyday! I will come back soon, please stay tuned!] I am sorry to friends who were waiting to celebrate party with me for being appointed as CM but I just cannot allocate schedule for it yet. I very much want it to happen!

What to do and see in Seattle for two weeks?

  • Hiking or skiing at Mount Rainier
  • Visit the Museum of Flight
  • Walk in Seattle downtown
  • Sky observatory at floor 73
  • Visit University of Washington
  • Visit Bruce Li’s tomb
  • and many more!

Congrats, @Sophia_Cambodia :slightly_smiling_face: Glad to see/hear from you - totally understand where you are coming from as the business of our private lives can slow us down a bit in terms of sharing our latest discoveries :). I’m so glad to hear you’re in Seattle because I have hopes of visiting there soon too! Looking forward to seeing your posts about your time there so I can use it as inspiration.

Thank you dear @SP31 sorry for the wait :slightly_smiling_face:

We have supported 5 communities to apply for small grants so there were a lot going on until we submitted them in yesterday. I completely devoted all my time for those things to contribute to my team. Glad to receive your warming comment and your understanding about how busy our life can be. I shall share about my experience in Seattle Soon :slightly_smiling_face:

@Sophia_Cambodia I completely understand how odd it can be to come back to Connect after a long and silent absence. I am so glad you are back and have so much to share about that you were able to do during your time away! Your recommendations for the Seattle area are fantastic and even though I live here, there are a couple of things I am going to add to my summer “to-do” list because of your exploring!

Thank you dear @Kwiksatik I knew you were in Seattle, but I didn’t know how to contact you. I only remember your name: Megan :slightly_smiling_face:

Anyway, there were so much going on during those two months. There were a lot on the plate. I think the next trip will be less hectic :slightly_smiling_face:

I spent most of my time in Seattle in my last trip, so there were chances to explore even small places. My husband made sure I enjoyed my time.Glad they came to you handy :slightly_smiling_face:
