Obvious duplicate - Instantly rejected (unable to verify)

Does anyone else feel like “How to” would be better split into “Advise” and “Issues”?

Anyway…

I tried to report a duplicate Maps entry just now.

“Kiltane of Scotland” being the primary entry that’s populated with reviews etc and “Kiltane” being a duplicate with little content.

It seems like a fairly obvious one right?

Now I know I could try and edit “Kiltane” to be more like “Kiltane of Scotland” in an attempt to make it more similar and therefore a more obvious duplicate but should this really be necessary for what looks like a pretty obvious duplicate?

Instant rejection seems harsh, I mean even sending for approval and checks from other LGs seems a bit much but I’d prefer that to an outright no.

Kiltane do have other locations (like an outlet) but two markers this close, one with no content stands out as an issue surely?

The possible reasons for the rejection, @turbotapeworm , is that both places appear to be claimed.

It is not the first time that something like that happens. Once I reported the issue to the business owner. He said, “you are right, that one was a test”. I invited him to remove the “test” from his GMB profile, as it was impossible for me to fix it

Usually an unclaimed business have the “claim this business” button
