Ever since, the Crown bought the area surrounding the waterways In 1820 Oakville, Ontario, Canada was growing around Sixteen Miles Creek from a population of 1500 in 1846 to 200,000 in 2017. Home to Ford truck plant, Oakville is ethnically vibrant town, hence very diverse in food cultures. While the traces of English, Portuguese and Italian quarters of the town still carry their own authentic food traditions many Oriental, South Asian, Middle Eastern, African, South American and East European food outlets are now sprinkled around Oakville.
