NYC: Long Island RailRoad (LIRR), the MTA in New York City schedules.

MTA makes schedule changes to the Long Island Railroad, and of particular note are schedule changes to Forest Hills, Kew Gardens and Woodside Stations. Today I was on my way to Manhattan and was all set to catch the 4:15PM as Google maps indicated. But there is no 4:15PM. There might be one at 4:17PM from Forest Hills but I wasn’t in Forest Hills.

We need someone to keep on top of this because Google maps becomes USELESS in terms of using the Long Island Railroad.

Google is not to blame for most of these issues as the MTA, in it’s wisdom (or lack thereof), makes these decisions and doesn’t seem to take input from the community.
But GOOGLE needs to address these issues and keep the transportation in MAPS up to date.

Hi @ThatJimRyan it isn’t Google who update this data, the railways do it in partnership with Google through a transit program. I suggest you contact LIRR. Temporary cancellations may not be visible in Maps, it depends how integrated they are. In London for example you can rely on the times because even minor changes like a delay or cancellation are reflected. Not all transit partners go to these lengths.
