This beach is great. If you go early, the surfers are all catching waves. It gets easily packed but plenty of room. There are lifeguards from 10 to 6pm. 2 buses take you there so easy to get to. If you’re in nyc, check it out. If you can get here then head over to Coney Island, also great.

@NYC_Boyz It is so good for newyorkers to have that beach close to the City.I suppose people can also have a drink or a snak in any beach bar there,can’t they?’

Hello…Rockaway Beach runs a long strip and while mainly residential. There are certain streets that have bars, food and snacks. 116th street is where the trains and buses end. It has a lot of places to hang around. 91st Street has a small cluster of different types of food and has a bar with benches that you can enjoy your drink or beer. No alcohol is allowed on the beach.
