It often happens that I’ll post a photo of some food at a popular restaurant and the next day it will have 1000+ views. Highly doubt that could be happening. Maybe a bug or bots are artificially raking up the view count?
This is not unusual. Here is why:
There is a popular card/tab called Recent. Here your new photos will be shown quite often
Secondly, great new photos are sometimes selected to be shown also in the city’s or districts’ pages. This can give a lot more views than usual.
You may want to check the cities/districts pages shortly after uploading new photos.
Or maybe you photo was made the cover photo for the place.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Hello @thisisalloneword
The logic of the view count is bizarre. Whenever a device requests a photo from the server for viewing, that adds to the count. The reader may not even view that.
Further, when a photo is new, that gets featured in the “latest” tab. Thus, when someone accesses that POI, the photo gets pulled whether the viewer wants or not.
That diminishes after some days as newer ones get added. That’s the reason for the phenomenon observed by you.
You could consider moving his tread to the section called How-tos where I think it fits better.
Just edit your post again, select the new Topic at the top, and save it again.
How-to is the section where questions are asked and answered.
Thank you.
@MortenCopenhagen Looks like I might have missed the window to edit the orginal post. I do not see any options anymore to edit it…
The windows never closes. Just hit the icon with 3 dots and the top option should be Edit Message.
