Hello @KishorMali
To know the root cause, can you tell something more?
Do you use some mail client, or read that in Gmail, directly?
I understand you are using WiFi. However, what’s the source of that, a fixed-line broadband connection or mobile hot-spot through 4G LTE?
Have you configured the domain name servers to use Google or some other faster DNS? Time needed to resolve a domain name can also add substantial delay.
Further, the push message may not be there for every email. Do you open the mail & check arrival of any new messages?
You posted a reply and within two minutes the email landed in my inbox. I don’t see any latest news on the outage. Maybe some servers are lagging in response.
Thanks. The notification for your last message reached me the minute after you posted it. Fantastic. But often it is a lot slower. I agree one or two server might need a reboot! Haha!
Open the settings on your Android phone, and then the network settings.
There you will find an entry “Private DNS”.
Otherwise, you can search that setting.
There enter name of the private DNS provider as dns.google, or any other of your choice. Save the setting & that’s all. If you are not happy or do not find any improvement, then you can revert that setting anytime.
I am always scared to touch stuffs on my phone, because I don’t know it!
I remember once, I had just started driving, I was about making a right turn and had to drive over a boulder, it was difficult for me!.
Then, one man jumped out of somewhere and went; turn your hand, turn your hand, I kept turning the Steering wheel, then, he said; “Accelerate”! I met myself stuck to a Primary School fence
Ever since, I have been wary of taking advice, especially from someone who eould not even tell me their name.
Thanks @KishorMali bhai for sharing your problem. Do prefer to open gmail in web browser rather than in apps. I think some times due to cache memory and problems in auto-refreshing notifications not show instantly. I am using Gmail in Chrome browser in my android mobile.
Thanks for your subtle message @Ewaade_3A
I admit & respect your choice.
Though, I know each and everything that goes under a car bonnet and given sufficient time & tools, I can mend that. Even then, I will not venture to do so & hand it over to a mechanic.
Your thinking goes along the same lines & I accept that.
