Recently I’ve noticed a new bug. Notifications from GoogleMaps App pop up on the screen on my Android device but when I open the phone notification list, these GM notification just disappear. It has been happening for a few days now.
Have anyone encountered anything like that? Any solutions?
Which kinds of edits are you referring to @YuliiaZa ? I used to get a lot of notifications for approved edits, but since a few weeks I am not getting notifications at all.
@JanVanHaver , I cannot tell that. After the notifiacation sign appears, I open the list to see the details, but it it is not there.
Before that I was not getting any notifications at all, like you said.

The disappearance of the notification, or the screen turning white, is a known issue in some particular models of a specific make. You can search the support pages of the manufacturer to know the remedy.
Nevertheless, you can always find something more about any notification including its content.
On any android phone, you can create a shortcut for notification log on the home screen. Then, that widget will show what was the content of the notification, even after you have read that.
Here is a screenshot of one such log.
Though there is a lot of technical terminologies, the last four lines make it clear that the message was an update on the traffic conditions near me.
Once the subject matter of the notification is apparent, you can take suitable action on that opening the app.

Thanks for the reaction. The bug somehow ceased. I started receiving normal notifications and can view them now.
