Not to miss the 8 Most Charming Towns in Orlando

The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide: Adding List of Interesting Places

As a Local Guide, getting to explore new places and neighborhoods is a one-of-a-kind adventure
for me as well as allowing me to connect with fellow explorers all over the world.
Being a Local Guide provides me with the opportunity to list places in Google Maps.
Once these locations are added, I can help business owners and potential guests by
providing them with readily accessible information about these noteworthy places.
I recently created a list of the 8 Most Charming Towns in Orlando.
Let us now take a close look at some of the quaint towns that I have added and my viewpoint.

Sanford: During my recent trip to Orlando, I made my way to Sanford which is a quaint

town in Central Florida. It boasts a variety of options worth checking out.

As you drive through the downtown sector, you will be greeted by Lake Monroe.

For me, Sanford is worth adding on Google maps for its charming vibe

with the red-brick surfaced downtown area that offers restaurants

such as Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe and charming boutiques.

Winter Park: What makes this quaint Central Florida town worth visiting

is the lush greenery. I enjoyed my short escapade there while basking under

the sunny Florida weather. Several museums are worth checking out such

as the Cornell Fine Arts Museum and I did not miss out on enjoying the

epicurean delights the town has to offer.

Winter Garden: Winter Garden is a special gem on its own. It is situated on

the west side of Orlando. When I visited this town, there are several

parks and museums along with the historical Garden Theater. If you are

lucky to drop by on a Saturday, do not forget to visit the farmers market

in the downtown area starting 9 AM up to 2 PM to enjoy homegrown produce.

Mount Dora: Mount Dora is a hidden gem with over 100 years of history.

Enjoy a scenic view offered by Lake Dora and Lake Eustis.

As the “Bass Fishing Capital of the World”, it is best to bring along

your fishing gear. If fishing is not your forte, you might want to try

out the restaurants bordering the water for a great dining experience

such as The Goblin Market, visit the museums and finding unique

deals at the antique shops.

Deland: When I visited this town, I can say that the title “The Athens of Florida” is true.

This serene town offers great boutiques, top-quality restaurants with an

artistic and cultural ambiance with its museums and the Athens Theatre.

I am sure that you will be mesmerized by the simple yet sweet vibe this

upscale Florida town has to offer.

Kissimmee: If Disney is included in your itinerary, you will find several

hotels worth staying in Kissimmee which is just outside the popular destination.

Aside from this, the town boasts several fun attractions that I find worth visiting

such as the Old Town and Fun Spot America. Since I wanted a nature escape,

I headed to Lake Tohopekaliga or Lake Toho and had fun in the waterfront.

Celebration: This charming town which is just outside Orlando is worth checking out.

I love this town since you can dine, shop and enjoy several entertainment

options in the city’s center. I recommend dropping by at Celebration Town Tavern

which overlooks the lakefront for its wide selection of beer

together with “Fish-n-Chips” or the “Maine Lobster Roll”.

College Park: If you will visit College Park, it has an urban atmosphere

with a quaint small-town vibe. I was able to visit a great selection of

boutiques such as Dechoes Resale Emporium, restaurants and interesting

small businesses in the tree-lined sector with brick-trimmed streets.

As I explored the area, the parks and lakes add a peaceful ambiance to the place.

Exploring Central Florida is not only about theme parks and non-stop entertainment.

While these are fun to engage in, do not forget to explore these hidden

gems that will surely make your trip worthwhile. By adding these places

in Google Maps, it will surely make a big impact. With this small action,

I can help visitors or guests find what they are looking for, help small

businesses grow or gain a new friend. Being able to add places that I

have visited and the impact that these places made on me as well as

sharing it via Google Maps is one of the fun yet interesting activities that I have done as a Local Guide.
