GPS is on, I rarely get review requests from Google, even after going places and taking photos etc

Should I be expecting these, or can I review in some other way?

Do you mean that you wrote all your 356 reviews only when prompted by Google Maps? Ok, don’t worry

You can write a review in every listing in Google Maps, unless the place is locked for some reason… Adding a review is extremely simple

According to Write reviews and add ratings of places :

  1. Search for a place or tap it on the map.
  2. At the bottom, tap the place’s name or address.
  3. At the top, tap Reviews.
  4. Scroll down until you see 5 empty stars.
  5. Tap the stars to score the place. You can also write a review.

In addition, please check the setting in your device. For being prompted to write a review, first of all tap on your profile photo to open the main menu

Tap on Settings > Notification > Your reviews, then make sure to have the switch “Suggestions to write reviews” turned on ON
