Not every photo has to be beautiful

I think that for many local guides the instinct is to make sure that all of their pictures are beautiful and as perfect as possible. For a long time, this was my singular instinct as well. However, I think that guides can forget that sometimes people merely want to see the inside or outside of a space in more detail and don’t particularly care if it is aesthetically pleasing. This does not mean you should stop taking gorgeous pictures! But it can mean that you snap a few quick detail shots that show more of the location for someone looking at maps. Finally, one thing in common for all of these more mundane photos with lots of views is that I included a mention of why I took them in my text review. This helps people contextualize what you’re talking about and why you’re taking a photo that they then want to look at. Happy snapping, guides!

I totally agree. When I take pictures I do not put in mind that I will post them, but to keep them for me. So I try to do the best possible shots. Then, when I upload, it is a matter of what I took:) I always use my phone.

thank you @TheWilleniumFalcon .this is the best post I saw here till now. I think that beside trying to discover beautiful spots, we have also to show people how places and locations look like in reality.
