Not Approving Reviews - WORST POLICY GOOGLE HATE IT :-(

Hello Everyone, Since last 3-4 moths I am struggling with Google reviews.

I can bet on it that I am posting 100% genuine review but still Google is not approving it.

No one can say that it’s false review. Google can check my location history data as well that I am travelling to these places and still they can’t believe on it.

Now a days in busy life I don’t have much time to complaint about Google products. Just because of this policy I am now not showing interest on Google Maps, as it’s wasting my time. I am going to switch on Apple Maps. No need to contribute as a local guide. I tried all suggested steps but no luck.

Time to say Boycott Local guide.

Hi @SusChat while it can be frustrating sometimes, I can see from the text in this particular case that your review is invalid. You talk barely about the station, but mention a hospital that is not related to the place and an engineering campus that is near by too. I would say the AI is spot in in this case.

Looking at your profile you seem to have duplicate or near duplicate imagery so be careful of that because the other AI is working on photos and videos. For your reviews the ones that are published are clearly personal experiences where as the review you’re complaining about seems more aimed at getting points than being helpful.

Hi @SusChat , thanks for writing.

While I fully agree with what @PaulPavlinovich said about the text of the review that you are showing us, I also have to add that you should read the message that you are showing us.

The message says: "Not posted

Something went wrong while uploading the content.

Try again"

It means that this specific review was not posted due to a technical reasons, not because blocked by the AI. It can be a connection issue, a glitch in the App, or an issue in the format of an attached media.

The message is inviting you to “try again”.

I had the same experience a few weeks ago, and it was fixed by completely delete the review, and writing it again.

We will be happy to help you with hidden reviews if you want to share with us some other specific example, but this one doesn’t apply, as it is not related to any Policy.

Generally speaking I can see several policy violations in contents that were posted, so I am not really surprised if some of the contents are blocked, but as I said already, to help you we need some more specific example
