Not Applied - Place Creation

No matter what I do I cannot get this shop listed.

I have tried changing the format of the address from 2/2 Sabine Road to Shop 2/2 Sabine Road to just 2 Sabine Road. I have tried adding with photos taken on site, photos found online and even with no photo at all. I have tried adding from Pixel 2 and desktop. I have changed the naming format of the business name. I have supplied hours and phone number as well. I’m not getting any additional email from my first attempt to add it. Within minutes of submitting it goes to not applied. Is there someone to speak to or report/escalate this to? Even a reason why it won’t list so I can rectify the issue?

Hi @TK1986 this is happening to everyone, and occurs more often than you can imagine.

Had a look to the area, and seems that the address format is correct.

In this case I suspect that the algorithm find a duplicate address for this place: https://goo.gl/maps/En7VQTDDAqr

So, please, if this is correct, you have to mark the place that was at the same address, before adding the new.

@LucioV @ Nothing that I can see. The address just shows the default street view. Nothing specifically assigned to it. Even checked the other shops in the same building. Is this a known issue being dealt with that we know of

It suggested similar businesses at different addresses. I said submit anyway.

Is this address the same you are trying to add your business?

What does it means “Shop 2/2” in your case?

Hello @TK1986 , what could very well be the case here is that another local guide already tried to create that same place, and this was not immediately approved by the algorithm, so that one is pending. Then you try to add the place with the same data, and it seems the algorithm is designed to then give an immediate ‘not applied’ (because the other one is pending). That is not a very local-guide-friendly way of handling the situation, but that’s just the way it is.

Have you checked in ‘Check the facts’ is there is something to be checked in that area?

@JanVanHaver I have checked “check the facts” as well as “uncover missing info”. Nothing there has a similar name or the same address being entered. Its a shame there isn’t more information to support the issue or a way to escalate it. I have used the feedback form but in my experience I never hear back. I once had an issue with street view which I was able to chat with someone from google with through my pixel. I could test my luck.

Happy to keep exploring all other suggestions to resolve this though.
