Norway January 2020

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am travelling to Norway in January, I arrive at Sandefjord Airport and am after some ideas of where to drive to. It’s a flying 2-day visit so a max of 4 hrs from the airport would be good.

I’m after scenery and picturesque villages. I was thinking of Lillehammer (partly because I love the Netflix Drama), but apparently the motorway there isn’t very scenic.

Any advice would be welcome.

Hi

I’ll start with a link to a site in Norwegian, but just use the google translate extension.

If you like Cities, you can take a day in Oslo(1.5h), or drive to Kristiandsand(2.5h) which is smaller but cozy and they have a Zoo.

On a side note, if you liked Lillyhammer, the same writers have made or written a new series named Beforeigners, its on HBO I think :).

Lillehammer is also a cozy town, and you can ski there aswell. I belive its very scenic, though I have not been there in the winter.

Hope some of this is helpful, and have a nice trip.

@Pete4 , how was your trip to Norway? Haven’t found any posts about that.
