This is an awesome exhibition of portraits of neighbors by Bobby Abrahamson in the plaza in the St. Johns neighborhood of north Portland, Oregon. I’ve enjoyed walking through these works this month even as the sky above them grew firey and dark. We’ve learned a lot this year that might have been better left unlearned-- but at least one happy new lesson is that, when the galleries and museums close, the Art moves into the Streets.
The photographs were briefly taken down because of wildfires, smoke, and rain, but look for the show to go back up Saturday, Sept 19th, and remain up until the 27th. Photos by Bobby Abrahamson.
