North meets South India

Hi guys,

When it comes to knowing the Indian subcontinent, the tryst is everlasting. I feel extremely fortunate to be born here and furthermore having the opportunity to travel across the country. I was born in Lucknow, a city in the north and worked for sometime with my friends NGO in Ladakh. For work thereafter, I found myself in Chennai, prominent city of the South.

From Leh to Chennai, things changed enormously. Temperatures changed from minus 25 degrees to plus 40 degrees celcius, Clothing Changed from thick down feather to light flimsy cotton, Frost bite transformed to sunburn, Thukpa evolved into Rasam and Dosai and Language Changed from Buddhist to Tamil but People had the similar warmth in both extremes of the country.

It was amazing for me to find out how less we, living in north India, know about places like Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. There is a huge chunk of population which feels that you will not find anything apart from Idlis and Dosas and Fishes on your plates. How totally wrong we are and I was thrilled and amazed for another time to discover how beautiful it is to be wrong about our misconceptions.

You’ll find eveything here and more.

So, I love to inform people of things that they might not be knowing as i didn’t and still don’t know so many things about so many places.
