Is there any gem locations to travel in North Carolina? My 6 year anniversary is next month and I want to surprise my husband by taking him somewhere new we have never been.

It depends on what your scene is and the state lockdown/quarantine may influence your timing. My personal favorite place to visit is Asheville, NC. It is only an hour from my hometown in the mountains of NC and has something for everyone. It is the microbrewery capital of the East, has art galleries, rivers and lakes for kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding, it has an amazing food scene (especially for those with dietary restrictions) and beautiful mountain air. There are tons of rental cabins or AirBNBs in the area as well.
