None of my reviews that i have made are visible.

I have been making multiple reviews and I did not think there was a problem until I realized that my reviews were not gaining any interactions. I found this odd so I asked my friend who is also a local guide to check for my reviews under the businesses that I have left reviews under and bam, nothing. the strange part is that I checked all my privacy settings and I even tried to see if my account had been disabled or restricted and again nothing. I tried contacting the help community and still nothing. I have also tried to make a new account but the same problem persists! This is the strangest thing because on my account you can see the points I have earned and all but you can not see my contributions other than the photos I have taken for a dealership in my area, other than that, photos that I included on my reviews and my reviews are not even showing up! Please can anyone help me fix this?

Hello @PeterHewitt

Welcome to local guides connect forum and sorry for your troubles regarding reviews.

The first thing is operating 2 accounts for contributions is against the community rules and regulations. As a local guide contributions to improve Google maps should originate from one account. Therefore please consider closing up one account and concentrate on using the other one.

Secondly,please see** :point_right: this post for a solution.**Hope it will help you.

Happy guiding

Cheers

I don’t have two accounts, I only made one on a different account entirely just to see if the issue would persist and it did so I deleted the account entirely.

@PeterHewitt I am glad to hear that you deleted that second Google account, because you are allowed to have only one Local Guides account.

On your public profile, I see 0/23 reviews and 2/10 photos. Google apparently did not like some of your content so is filtering out your reviews and photos. One of your public photos shows vehicle license plates and a person’s face, so I would delete that photo or blur out the numbers and face. Can you post a screenshot of your reviews, perhaps your first review, so we can provide specific feedback?

In my own experience in the past, Google filtered out my reviews for foreign and out-of-state businesses (I guess that Google did not believe that I had actually traveled there) and also filtered out many of my photos (mostly of food). In response, about one year ago, I completely stopped posting foreign and out-of-state reviews and all photos! Now I post only reviews for businesses in my city, and Google does not filter them out. :confused:

Actually this was the only ones that Google let me post I’m assuming because it was pictures but since the first review I made nothing was ever posted. I have my first review actually and that is just a normal review that is 5 stars with no words or anything.

I only review places that are in my neighborhood. All in New York.

here this is my first review I made.

@PeterHewitt I do not see any bad content in that review. Google tends to not like special characters, so I avoid using exclamation marks. Your one photo still shows license plates and people’s faces. Do your filtered photos show similar things?

No actually the other reviews have no photos at all and are lengthy descriptions of what food I enjoyed the most. the only things that I post that will actually show up is photos and it’s only if the photos don’t have any review attached with it.

@PeterHewitt

Did you try the form recommend in the link @SholaIB suggested to you?

Please use the form called Account Investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps if you believe that some of your contributions have been wrongfully unpublished. Keep in mind, it takes several weeks for the check to be done, and you will not be notified about the result, so I suggest you check the status of your reviews once a week or so.

Best of luck
Morten

Look as you can see by these posts, they don’t have any photos or anything that violates guidelines in anyway but they didn’t post and these were my first few posts too. @tayanosky

@PeterHewitt

It would be very helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.

Thank you for the response, yes I have already completed and sent the form and I gave it a few weeks as you can see but I have not heard back from anyone yet that’s why I came back to check if anyone can help me again.

Ohh thank you very much! I was not aware of this feature! @MortenCopenhagen

Thank you for your help and sorry I was not aware of the tagging option @tayanosky

@PeterHewitt

If you already filled the form and there is no improvement after 6 weeks your reviews are unfortunately taken down correctly.

Keep in mind, that the spam filter looks at your overall performance and track record as a local guide. So completely unrelated violations can also cause reviews to be removed from public view.

As mentioned you will not get notified from submitting this form, @PeterHewitt

The problem is I just made my account and have not violated any terms and I have not even had the time to use the account for anything yet so I know it’s wrong since I literally just made the account and the first thing I did was make a good review. @MortenCopenhagen

Make 10 to 15 authentic reviews overvå few weeks to places you visit. And hopefully the filter will let you through.
