It’s beyond the scope of a local guide to change the name of town on Google maps. You can change the names of place of interest like supermarket,restaurant etc. When it comes to the name of a town or a region,its on the layer of Google maps that’s not open to local guides to edit.
What you can do is to Report an error directly on Google maps directly.
Otherwise you can also send a message to Google support team and attach certain official documents required to prove that you have the right to affect the change you are asking for. My advise is please let it be.
