Hey All,
I created a batch of reviews over 200 characters, but I didn’t get any points under Badges > Expert Reviewer > Helpfulness. I’ve waited for a month now, but it hasn’t updated.
I’d appreciate any help.

Hi @Amps,
Welcome to this wonderful community. This is like a home for Local Guides.
Request you to please go through the following articles. This will help you immensely.
Now, specific to your query, you have only 17 reviews with over 200 characters whereas for Master Reviewer Badge, the requirement is for 50 reviews with over 200 characters along with the other two requirements on Reach and Impact.
Keep building a well-informed community stronger together.
JAI HO!!!
@Kumaarsantosh I am trying to reach 50 reviews. I created at least 40 reviews with more than 200 characters at add to my 17 reviews but I didn’t get more points.
Hello @Amps welcome to the Local Guides Connect comment!
Besides @Kumaarsantosh’s correct statement, did you verify all of your reviews were published? Looking at your profile, I see 12 out of your 156 reviews were not published. This happened very likely because they were rejected by the AI filter.
This sounds like a repetitiv work, i.e. several similar reviews …? If that’s, it would be a reason for rejecting some of them.
Out of 156 reviews that you have posted only 144 are publicly posted. That means 12 reviews are hidden.
@WilfriedB how can I verify if they were published? By looking at the place and see my reviews? they all showed up in the reviews. All reviews were individual. How can I resubmit if it was being rejected?
@Kumaarsantosh how can I move it from the hidden to publicly posted ?
Thanks guys
There is a method described here: How to find your hidden reviews . Unfortunately, it takes some time.
You cannot. If the review does not have any photos or videos attached, you can edit the text, if you can guess what disturbed the AI filter. Unfortunately, Google never tells us what exactly caused the filter to reject some text.
If there are photos or videos attached and only one of those is rejected, the entire review will be hidden. Therefore, as a first step, I suggest to delete any attached media.
it looks like I am stuck at 17/50 I added more reviews and it didn’t the point.
You have further added 2 reviews (total posted review now is 158) out of which only 1 review is publicly posted (total publicly posted review now is 145). Your helpfulness stats still there at 17/50.
Please follow the above suggested approach to find out your hidden reviews and read through the Map Policies and Prohibited Contents to further improve your reviews (if any).
I am afraid, even some of your publicly posted review can also become the candidate for hidden reviews by Google because of the attached non compliant photos. Please go through the policy and take the appropriate steps at your end.
@Kumaarsantosh I am surprised of how many of my reviews have been hidden. I followed the policies but for some reason AI thought I broke the policies. My question is what can I do to improve? or make the reviews visible.
only 1 review is publicly posted but why it didn’t add to my 17/50?
The last review which is publicly posted is 4 days old so the latest 2 reviews which you have posted are not adding to your 17 count.
We have explained you the reason and provided you the steps for rectification. Nothing much can be extended further as the steps have to be taken by the contributors.
Please go through the policies and comply with it. Things will fall in place.
Just for example, many of the photos uploaded have the human faces which is violation of the policies.
Hello @Amps you seem to be submitting large batches of contributions with the objective of reward or recognition. Quantity often comes at the expense of quality. It may be best to slow down a bit, and let success come naturally.
In my personal experience, there were some badges that I thought I could never get, but even though they took years it finally happened. Just post with the objective of helping Maps users, and you’re sure to gain those badges eventually.
I think I know the issue now. I usually posted only pictures but never posted reviews. I added reviews to my old post that it was why I didn’t get the point. I get point with the new review.
I’m very doubtful that could be the reason. There’s nothing unusual or wrong about adding reviews now to places where you previously uploaded photos.
