No proper Maps address for school that exists for 28 years

Dear fellow guides,

I am new to this forum and was reading up on several articles describing how to add or correct business locations. However, none of them has helped me solve the following issue, which is causing problems for one of our local schools:

The physical location of Triciclo (a local preschool for 28 years) is 28.076887, -16.687407 as you can see perfectly well on Street View (https://goo.gl/maps/Q66kTsENGfVcR6Ku9

The Spanish postal address under which the school successfully receives all their postal mail is:

Escuela Infantil Triciclo

Ctra. General S/N

38640 La Camella – Arona

However, when moving the PIN to the correct place, the address is displayed with a different street address and the wrong postal code:

TF-28, 80 <— this may be correct and potentially even work with the Spanish postal service

38627 La Camella <— this postal code is most definitely wrong

Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Spain

On this address, it will be impossible to verify the listing via postcard, and hence the only existing Google Place for this school has been in the completely wrong place for many years now, which is a source of much frustration for many parents (https://goo.gl/maps/nsRMk4ZNseYBfC1K7

What can we do to help parents find this school in the correct location?

PS: I have already tried to suggest an edit to the location, but the edit dialogue won’t even let me move the PIN to the correct place as it says the address doesn’t match. I’ve also tried the reverse workflow by adding a new PIN in the correct physical location, but then I couldn’t get it verified, as the postcard would never arrive because nobody knows the street address Google is suggesting…

I find the place appears to be claimed ad there is no prompt “Claim this business”

In that case, to resolve this issue, the owner would need to address the query to Google My Business forum.

Thanks C_T. I’ve spoken with the owner just now. He managed to change the PIN of the original business entry to the correct location, but only by giving Google Maps a wrong postal code. Now at least parents will be navigating to the correct place…

The question that remains is why Maps won’t accept the correct street address unless the PIN is automatically moved back to the wrong place.

Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks for the information.

Now, once the Pin is at correct location, you can use the “Send feedback” option to report the address correction.

However, in my opinion, the owner can resolve the problem through GMB more quickly & will not face the risk of reject.
