I am local guide from Chennai, India reached level 9 in mid of this year. For the whole year 2019, I have not received any perks, I thought same might be the case with others, but in some other forum, I came across perks being offered this year.
Could you please let me know if I have missed emails or something wrong in my account settings.

Thanks for asking. Benefits are not specified for each and every level. The points that you earn lead to higher levels of the program, as well as to benefits like early access to Google features and special perks from partners. Please bear in mind that perks and benefits for the Local Guides program are always changing. Check out this article Question about a Local Guides perk email? Read this first.
Perks for different locations may be offered from time to time. To maximise your chances of being eligible for a future perk opportunity, continue to add high quality contributions to Google Maps.
Please make sure you update your email preferences, visiting your setting so you will receive eventual news involving new perks that we might offer from time to time to Local Guides and which may be offered in your country. This is the best way to be updated about perks.

I would like to let you know that not everyone receive perks, it depends on your region, country and the Google partners, this means perks are available to other countries and also not available to other countries or regions. Thanks @MoniDi @Raphael-Mahumane , for quick reply. Thanks for sharing link about perks. I checked the setting and settings are correct. All notifications turned on. I would have been happy to see some settings mistake from my end. I have been an active contributor ever since I joined program. For this year, my worst contribution in a month was in Top 15%. So, it’s disheartening to know that despite being amongst the top and constant contributors, there were no perks in the whole year. I would like mention that I am not in this program for perks and the only time I tried to use a perk, it didn’t workout.
Perk mail has been sign that my contribution is being appreciated. Since I didn’t get one in the whole year, despite top contribution, it seems to question my quality.
I just wanted to share my thoughts and register that it is disheartening. Thanks for hearing me out.

I wanted to add that the Local Guides program is voluntary for everyone who would like to contribute on Google Maps and help others explore their world. You can learn more about the program and benefits in the Help Center. I hope this helps!

I just got a mail saying that I am Top 1% in my city. Lol!!
So, in my case it turns out that “No perk in 2019 for a Top 1% contributor”. Just saying 
Level 6 here, have yet to receive a single perk in the past two years. Although I enjoy contributing, I feel that Google is being disingenuous with the perks. For the amount of quality data that they obtain from their contributors, they could offer something more meaningful to us, or be honest and say that we are just doing it for the game element, whilst they reap the profits. Their latest email was a reminder to upload more content, ha!
