Let’s back for 15 years to the offline world. All maps in Ukraine was on the paper. There was no difference between maps on paper - no caffees, no businesses, nothing new from 90s, but parks, museums, cemeteries.
10 years ago we had at least five offline maps of main cities, but ugliest thing - you have no even opportunity to modify map for better experience. Changes started about 5 years ago with ability to change map by adding new objects, businesses, administrative entities, amusement places to the Google Map.
I’ve started to modify Map few years ago by adding new small businesses. Location of them was unknown for tourists. Mostly trying to fix inaccurate navigation I found that feedbacks also valuable and powerful thing to evaluate quality of services. That’s why I’m trying to leave accurate feedbacks to help people to understand what to expect.
By modifying map we’re all doing great job to make small businesses open, visible and reachable for tourists.
For the future, we’re waiting from Google Maps team to enable enhancing routes and navigation to adapt maps to new road signs.
