I am Level 7 LG. Since last Nov 6, 2020 Google has stopped asking me to upload my new photos (that was the date of my last upload).
There doesn’t seem to be a help point of contact for LG’s (a sad oversight from Google), so I am posting here to see if anyone has any suggestions to fix this issue.
I would like to add that using the upload photos prompts in Google Maps should be done with caution. You can easily be prompted to upload photos that are already added. Which is against the guidelines.
So I disabled the prompting and instead keep track of which of my photos are uploaded manually.
I have not turned off the timeline feature or anything else!
AGAIN, the problem is that Google is now apparently only accepting photos taken with the Google photo app, NOT photos taken with other apps, such as Open Camera.
If I am prompted to add photos, then that is up to Google to sort them or determine if they are duplicates.
Anyway, when photo uploads were working for me, I never did get prompts for duplicate photos.
What I did annoyingly get regularly was a prompt to add new photos when there weren’t any new photos to add! Google should know this instead of asking to upload photos and then issuing a message that states “You are all caught up”.
