Whom do we trust when we need advice in any life situation? We trust people whom we know well. We trust our friends. Whom do we trust when we plan a trip or going to visit a place where our friends have never been before? The answer is simple. We trust the Local Guides. Which hotel is better to stay overnight? Which restaurant is better to eat tasty and inexpensive? Where are the best entertainment place in the city? Where did the new club open? We just open the map and go! You just need to be attentive. People you have never seen have already shared their experiences. These are your virtual like-minded persons, confederates.
That is reason why I also try to leave my own “footprint” on the Google maps. I give a rating, write a review, share my photos and answer the questions. Im Local Guide because I can help someone too. I dont wait for gratitude, any kind of material bonus doesn`t matter. I do it because I like it.
Today I can have a virtual lunch in Paris, can find out more about the museum in London tomorrow, ore drink coffee in New York the day after, and show the unknown people the photo of the restaurant’s interior where they are going to celebrate the wedding. It is very fun. Because I haven`t borders, I enjoy it if my information helped someone. Moreover, I am always grateful to the people who helped me save time and make the right choice of a place on the map where I will get good emotions.
Đžne day my lovely cat fell ill and we need urgently go to the veterinarian. Google Maps showed me some nearby veterinary offices. I looked at the Local Guides reviews and found out one office was liquidated; one office was already closed, so we chose the one that works. My pet was resqued on time.
