Nikon Keymission 360 Users

I’ve been using the Keymission 360 for a while now and thought I’d see if anyone else is using the device. If so, what are some tips and tricks you’re figuring out with it?

Hi @JamesRich ,

I moved your post to Photography board, where you should be able to receive more responses.

I current have a KM360 on hand. Do you have one now? What kind of topic you are looking to discuss?

Hi mate.

I’m new to the whole guides thing, though having heaps of fun. I have a keymission 360. I am finding the submissions seem to be hit and miss on how quickly they get processed (submitted some last week for a business and they still are not up, while others were instant). I will say that it is very important to set your exposure compensation correctly when trying to use it to get the best clarity out of the camere. Bright and sunny it seems to excel.

I’d love to see one of you 360 walkthroughs if you’re willing.

Also, how do you set your exposure compensation? What’s your method for making sure it’s correct?

Sure. One of the ones I just made is at Yamba Lighthouse NSW Australia. It is not quite the model set on how to set the compensation, but I was having a nightmare connecting to the device and just decided to use it manually (press button, hold up camera) Being new I will try and figure out how to share. The biggest hurdle with my nikon is its temperamental connectivity issues with my devices. To set exposure compensation you need to set it in the phone app. You can view the compensation live through the app after you change it, though live view is terribly grainy. . As for making sure it is correct, trial and error is your painful friend. I sit it at about +.5 to +1 for darker areas + artifical light, but this isn’t always the rule. My lighthouse one was shot late afternoon, outdoors, handheld with the sun still up and at 0 compensation.

Here is the lighthouse. Handheld. Zero compensation. Late afternoon just before sunset. Please excuse the “tour” markers. I am trying to come to grips with the extremely buggy and lacking tour creation interface. I have to make a few more adjustments.

Here is an internal one I did tripod based but also compensation zero.
