Night on The Iconic Landmark of Bukittinggi, Jam Gadang

As the sun fall down and the night comes, we walk along the path to the biggest clock in town as know of the landmark of my city, Jam Gadang. One of the biggest history lay down there. Its all began in 1926, the structure was built that time during the Dutch colonial era as a gift from Queen Wilhelmina to the city’s controleur. It was designed by architects Yazid Abidin and Sutan Gigi Ameh.

You can also find the traditional transport here, it is called Bendi. A transport with a horse on the front.

And also there is a people who sell bean for you. And its yummy.

Hi @futnotecom ,

welcome back on Connect and thank you for sharing with us those wonderful photo of the night life in Bukittinggi.

Are there any activities running around the landmark that you can join? What about the Bendi, are they bringing you around the area only or also outside? They are very cool! And about the beans, are they made in a special way, how they are served? And what other type of local food can you find here?

Hello @futnotecom ,

Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos with us, the area looks very nice!

Is this a famous destination among locals and tourists? Next to the big tower clock, are there other important historical buildings to see?

I like the traditional transport and the stall seller in your pictures, as they remind me a bit of the ones I saw in Marrakesh, Morocco.
