Hi everyone!
I Must say it has been different shades of experiences being a local Guide in this part of the world, Nigeria. Since I became a local Guide, it became my habit of snapping pictures of places, things and people, especially places I haven’t been to before.
I remember snapping random pictures at the park somewhere in Ibadan, Nigeria, it was suspicious that someone approached me to tell me it is wrong to take pictures of them. The suspicion made me a little uncomfortable, but I understand their point of view as well. In Nigeria, and I believe in many other African countries, people are conscious of acts like this, I.e. having strangers take random of them.
It can be a little awkward, but being a Google local Guide has brought about many memories different memories, from finding myself in awkward situations to meeting a lot of awesome and amazing people. These memories I all cherish, thank you Google and I’m proud to be a member of the Google Local Guide Community.
