Nigeria Accessible Walk- Wuse
Wuse 2
Wuse 2, Abuja, Nigeria
November 15, 2018 @ 10:00 (WAT)
Our second Accessibility meetup in Abuja and this time around Wuse Zone 2. Local Guides would walk through the area to see assess buildings and public places with accessibility provisions. We would look out for accessibility parking, signs, trails, lifts, escalator braille plates and sound systems. This is part of our nationwide awareness on accessible inclusiveness. Nigeria Accessible Walk (NAW) is a continuous meet-up to improve maps for our disabled brethren. The major aim of this meet-up is to help provide accessibility information to people with limited mobility, wheelchairs, pushchairs, auditory and impaired vision. We’ll also add new places, take photos, edit locations and make accessibility reviews. Questions about Local Guides programmes and other information would be shared too… GADGETS: Please bring your mobile phones, cameras, chargers and power banks. CLOTHES: The weather may be sunny and hot or rainy; you may wear simple jeans/denim, cap/sunglasses and sneakers. Please put-on your LOCAL GUIDE T-shirt or badges for our group photos. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Everyone is welcome. Local Guides from any part of Nigeria can join us and of course new members too. We’ll assemble at Sharwama King (Adetokumbo Ademola Crescent) HASTAGS #AccessibleNG #LocalGuides #LetsGuide
